Objectives (course unit)
The student will be able to recognise drivers and factors impacting ones overall well-being and career. The student will be able to utilise supportive services and manage more professionally his athlete career planning and development.
Content (course unit)
In this first course the student will get familiar with time management, academic career and study planning and student welfare with help of lectures and individuals assignments. The athlete will be study the balance of the physical training and recovery in their own everyday life. In addition to these, the athlete receives information about sport nutrition, mental coaching and sport physiotherapy.
Prerequisites (course unit)
Vapaasti valittava opintojakso kilpaurheilevalle opiskelijalle kaikissa JAMKin tutkinto-ohjelmissa. Opintokokonaisuus pitää hyväksyttää omalla tutoropettajalla/koulutusvastaavalla ennen aloittamista. Opinnoista voi suorittaa 1-3 osakokonaisuutta. Ne voidaan aloittaa missä opintojen vaiheessa tahansa, suositeltavaa on kuitenkin aloittaa mahdollisimman aikaisessa vaiheessa.

Further information
An optional course of study for competitive students in all JAMK degree programmes. The course must be approved by the student's own tutor teacher/training officer before starting. You can complete 1-3 sub-courses. They can be started at any stage of your studies, but it is advisable to start as early as possible.
