Objectives (course unit)
The student knows the role of testing in software development and quality assurance. The student is able to compare manual testing and automatized testing. The student is able to use suitable testing tools. The student knows how testing will be planned, carried out and reported.
Content (course unit)
The role of testing in software development. Manual testing. Automatized testing. Usability testing. Security in testing. Testing tools. Planning, implementing and reporting of testing.

The course is based on online self-studying.
Assessment methods and criteria
The course has gamified approach and the assessment is based on one assignment, one glossary, multiple quizzes about different contents of the course, one workshop and the final quiz.
