Objectives (course unit)

After completing the course: - You will know the criteria of an age-friendly company. - You will be able to applies the criteria of an age.friendly company in developing their own business or workplace. - You will recognizes the needs of older customers as the basis of the development of the company. - You will understands the importance of customer experience for developing the age-friendliness of their own company or workplace - You will understand the string points of service desing.

Content (course unit)

Age-friendly business expertise is the key to success! It improves customer satisfaction and loyalty, and sets your company apart from competitors. Additionally, an age-friendly company demonstrates social responsibility and shows that the company cares about the well-being of the community and leverages the purchasing power of older customers. So, learn the basics of an age-friendly business, choose age-friendliness, and promote the success of your company! During the course, you will familiarize yourself with elderly people as a customer group and age-friendliness. You will also delve into the criteria for an age-friendly company and consider the importance of customer experience in developing your company or workplace. In the final assignment of the course, you will focus on developing an age-friendly company The topics of the course are - Age friendliness - Criteria for an age friendly company - Applying the criteria of an age.friendly company to age-friendly development of your own business or workplace - The importance of customer experience for the development of service design - You will specifies an process on the development of your own business or workplace using the criteria of an age-friendly company

Location and time

Verkko-opinnot oman aikataulun mukaisesti 3.2-16.5.2023 välillä. Opintojakson tehtävät arvioidaan seuraavasti: - 22.3.25 mennessä palautetut tehtävät arvioidaan ajalla 24.3.25 - 27.4.25 - 22.4. 25 mennessä palautetut tehtävät arvioidaan ajalla 23.4.25 - 19.5.25 - 16.5.25 mennessä palautetut tehtävät arvioidaan opintojakson päätyttyä - 9.6.25 mennessä

Teaching methods

Opintojaksolla tutustutaan ikääntyvien asiakkaiden tarpeisiin, ikäystävällisyyteen, ikäystävällisen yrityksen kriteerit ja sovelletaan näitä oman / yrityksen työpaikan kehittämiseen. Opintojaksolla opiskelija määrittelee ja työstää oman yrityksen/ työpaikan tai valitsemansa yrityksen kehittymiskohteita ikäyställisyyteen asiakaskokemuksen kautta. Opintojakson toteutuu itsenäisinä verkko-opintoina, joita voi suorittaa oman aikataulun mukaisesti 3.2.2025-16.5.2025 välillä

Opintojakson suorittamiseen tarvitset tietokoneen, verkkoyhteyden ja tekstinkäsittely ohjelman raportin kirjoittamiseen. Lopputehtävän suorittamiseen tarvitset yrityksen, jonka ikäystävällisyyttä voit arvioida ja tehdä suunnitelman kehittämiseen. Voit tehdä tehtävän yrityksessäsi, työpaikallesi tai tietämääsi yritykseen. Jos mahdollista kehittämisestä tehdään kokeilu.
