Objectives (course unit)
Learning Outcomes At the end of the module: - You will be able to examine scoliosis and know the physiotherapy methods for treating scoliosis. - You will know the principles of prevention and treatment of the most common musculoskeletal problems in school-aged children and be able to apply them to client examples. - You will be able to address the weight of school-aged children in physiotherapy and know methods for treating eating disorders and obesity. - You will know the special features of physiotherapeutic guidance for school-aged children.

Opintojakso koostuu itsenäisestä materiaaliin tutustumisesta, tallennetuista verkkoluennoista ja oppimistehtävistä. Voit edetä opintojaksolla omassa tahdissasi niin, että kaikki opintojakson oppimistehtävät on palautettu opintojakson suoritusajankohdan sisällä.

Student workload
Opintojakso on laajuudeltaan 5 op, joka vastaa 5 x 27 h = 135 h opiskelijan työtä. Tämä koostuu itsenäisestä materiaaliin tutustumisesta ja oppimistehtävistä.

Opintojakso soveltuu loppuvaiheen fysioterapian opiskelijoille sekä fysioterapeuteille. Ennakkovaatimuksena on ymmärrys lapsen ja nuoren kokonaisvaltaisesta kehittymisestä, sekä perusosaaminen tuki- ja liikuntaelin fysioterapiasta. Lisäksi hyödyksi on ohjausosaamisen perusteet.
