Objectives (course unit)

During this study unit You will - know the structures and construction techniques of different eras - know the building materials and related contaminants of different eras - understand the differences between new construction and renovation construction, - know the basic concepts of renovation and the progress of the renovation process - you know the basics of structural engineering and structural design in renovation

The content of the study unit - basic concepts of renovation construction. - the progress of the renovation process. - old structures and frame systems - old building materials and related contaminants - indoor air in renovation and indoor air problems - condition assessment and condition surveys of buildings and structures.

Opintojakso sisältää - korjausrakentamisen peruskäsitteet. - korjausrakennusprosessin kulku. - vanhat rakenteet ja runkojärjestelmät - vanhat rakennusmateriaalit ja niihin liittyvät haitta-aineet - sisäilma korjausrakentamisessa ja sisäilmaongelmat - rakennusten ja rakenteiden kuntoarviointi ja kuntotutkimukset.
