Objectives (course unit)
This course gives international business students a practical understanding of the Finnish business environment, from its economic history to today’s key industries and stakeholders. Students also get support how to communicate professionally, understand legal requirements, network effectively, and apply for jobs in Finland.
After completing the course, the student will be able to:
1. Describe the historical development and key turning points of the Finnish economy
2. Identify today’s main industries and stakeholders in Finland
3. Understand the basics of Finnish business communication and etiquette
4. Identify key elements of the legal and regulatory business environment
5. Recognize the importance of networking in Finnish working life and apply basic networking practices
