Objectives (course unit)
5 credits
The student masters the basics of conducting technique and score reading and has developed his/her knowledge of the orchestra and repertoire. The student becomes familiar with the job description of a conductor as an orchestral practitioner and artistic director. The student understands the connections between conducting technique and the sound of the orchestra.
10 credits
The student has mastered conducting technique and score reading and has deepened his/her knowledge of the orchestra and repertoire. The student understands the connections between conducting technique and the sound of the orchestra and is able to practice the work in accordance with the conductor's vision.
The objectives can be defined as more demanding depending on the student's starting level.
