Objectives (course unit)

The aim of the study module is to provide a practical basic understanding of the importance of computer networks and cybersecurity in the field of information technology.

After completing the study module, the student:
• understands the basics of computer network operation
• is capable of implementing a small local area network and its required settings
• knows how to use testing commands related to computer networks
• is familiar with the fundamental concepts of cybersecurity
• knows how to ensure the security of their own devices
• identifies risks posed by the cyber world
• can assess cyber threats

• Management of Cyber Threats

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2) (course unit)

The student is familiar with the basic concepts of computer networks and cybersecurity and is able to use them.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4) (course unit)

The student is able to perform installations and testing related to computer networks and cybersecurity.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5) (course unit)

The student is able to identify faults in computer network connections and determine cybersecurity threats targeting their own endpoint device, as well as conduct related investigations.
