Objectives (course unit)

Towards the end of their studies, the team will work together on a future-oriented project.

After completing the course the student (team entrepreneur) will
- recognize the basic concepts of foresight and futures research in business development.
- be able to orient their business activities to meet future challenges and opportunities.
- be able to operate in an international environment and assess the international potential of their own business.
- be able to build networks and apply their knowledge in new environments.

Passed
The student actively participates in the team's common learning situations, demonstrates in team projects the ability to operate in an international environment, and understands what it takes to operate successfully in that environment. They orientate the activities of the team towards the future.

Failed
The student does not add value to the learning organization. The student's actions have broken the trust of the team enterprise.

Location and time

During the 2nd - 4th year, preferably towards the end of the Proakatemia period.

Assessment methods and criteria

Active participation, dialogue, reflection, future camp project. Self, peer and coach evaluation against set objectives.

Teaching methods

There are hardly any traditional lectures or exams at Proakatemia. Learning methods and environments are for example training sessions and pajas; (primings, dialogue, workshops, independent learning), literature, writing and publishing, expert lectures and other fact-finding, project work, seminars, learning cells and common events. Learning is connected with business projects. The teampreneurs are responsible of the content of the training sessions, in co-operation with their coach. Future Camp involves a future-oriented project, designed and implemented by the team itself.

Further information

Studies at Proakatemia are integrated into teampreneurs businesses. It is not possible to study separate courses in the curriculum without special arrangements.

Assessment criteria - pass/fail (Not in use, Look at the Assessment criteria above)

Passed
The student has participated in the Future Camp project and worked with their team in an active, enriching way and for at least the required number of hours. They demonstrate mastery of the content covered in such a way that they are able to put it into practice in their team enterprise. Their dialogue skills have been developed. They are able to act in accordance with the team's values and to comply with mutually agreed procedures.

Failed
Lack of hours. Not participated in the Future Camp Project. The student knows the concepts only superficially or is not able to apply them in practice in their team enterprise. The student does not operate according to the chosen values and procedures.
