Objectives (course unit)
The aim of the course is to learn how to plan and implement a business.
After completing the course, the student will

Content (course unit)
What is a business plan and how is it prepared?
What are the key aspects of project management?
How to plan and implement a project?
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2) (course unit)
The student will identify the purpose, principle, and content of a business plan. They understand the importance of project management. The student will participate in the work and reporting in the learning environment chosen for the implementation.
Assessment criteria, good (3-4) (course unit)
The student will articulate the purpose, principle, and content of a business plan. They understand the importance of project management. The student will actively participate in the work and reporting in the learning environment chosen for the implementation.
Assessment criteria, excellent (5) (course unit)
The student will be able to analyze different approaches to business planning and project management and recommend appropriate working methods and methodologies. They will be able to anticipate risks and support others when necessary. The student will take committed responsibility for the progress, quality, and reporting of work in the learning environment chosen for the implementation.

Teaching methods
At Proakatemia, we learn by working together. It involves reading and learning from a wide range of material, combining knowledge with your own thinking and experience, and sharing it in written or oral form in a variety of interactions.
Learning methods include dialogue, presentations, lectures, exercises, assignments, project work, reflection, independent, team and/or guided.

Completion alternatives
Passing the course requires learning with a team. Exceptions for timing etc. must be discussed in advance with the coaches and/or the team.

This course includes a customer project.

The English and Finnish co-degree programmes are integrated when it comes to implementation.
