Objectives (course unit)
After completing the study unit, the student is able to:
- Act responsibly and sustainably in the work of a vocational special needs teacher
- Guide students who require special support and/or extensive special support during practical training
- Know the various entities and actors involved in supporting the comprehensive rehabilitation of a student
- Develop expertise in special support and/or extensive special support in various work environments
- Enhance the skills of a vocational special needs teacher in different operational environments
Content (course unit)
During this study unit, we will seek to answer the following questions:
- How does a vocational special needs teacher consider the perspectives of responsible and sustainable future?
- How are individualized study paths implemented in different operational environments?
- How is the comprehensive rehabilitation of a student carried out as a multidisciplinary collaboration?
- How does a vocational special needs teacher student develop and strengthen their skills in different operational environments?
Assessment criteria, pass/fail (course unit)
The student passes the study unit if they have demonstrated competencies described in the learning outcomes. If the student has not achieved the learning outcomes or supplemented their competencies in the manner agreed on, they will fail the study unit. The grounds for the assessment criteria are described in the document ‘Pedagogical principles in professional Special Needs Teacher Education’. The assessment criteria is derived from the learning outcomes presented in the implementation plan for the study unit.
