Objectives (course unit)

Student
• knows the basics of radioactivity
• knows the structure and operating principles of equipment used in nuclear medicine procedures
• knows the principles of working safely in Nuclear Medicine Procedures
• is aware of the effects of ionizing radiation on different human tissues and their radio sensitivity
• knows the EU legislation of safe medical use of ionizing radiation
• knows the principles of radiation safety in medical and work-related exposure

Content (course unit)

The student plans and implements a project related to radiation protection in nuclear medicine based on the students' own learning goals.
