Objectives (course unit)
The student controls the use of key band equipment in such a way that, if necessary, he can guide others in the use of the equipment.
The student learns about electrotechnical phenomena occurring in connection with audio technology.
After the course, the student will be able to take care of updating computer classes and studios and other maintenance.
Content (course unit)
• band instruments: microphones, cables, connectors, mixer, amplifiers, speakers, electric guitar, electric bass, keyboard
• purchase and maintenance of equipment
• basics of electrical engineering
• the most common passive components and their operation measurements (multimeter, oscilloscope) electrical safety
• interference protection in audio technology
• basics of computer maintenance (Macintosh and Windows environments)
• studio maintenance
Assessment criteria, pass/fail (course unit)
Successful completion requires the student’s active participation in the course’s face-to-face meetings and the satisfactory completion of assigned tasks.

Participation in the teaching (80%), completion of the assigned tasks, and an exam.
