Objectives (course unit)

This course provides a comprehensive foundation in identifying and implementing feasible business opportunities. Students will learn to develop viable business ideas and assess their profitability. The course covers business planning, financial planning and reporting, combined to practical project work. Based on this information the students will develop a portfolio that demonstrates their growing business competencies (see Customer Orientation Portfolio).

Content (course unit)

During this course the students will learn / After completing this course, the students will know
-ways to identify and evaluate new business opportunities. How to assess market trends and adapt business models accordingly.
-how to develop comprehensive financial plans that align with organizational goals and utilize financial forecasting and budgeting techniques. How to assess financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
-how to prepare and interpret comprehensive financial reports. How to identify and implement strategies to improve business profitability.
-how to valuate and rate investments based on financial outcomes, and how to contribute to managerial finance and support organizational financial goals.
