Objectives (course unit)

• The student can tell about himself, his free time, his hobbies and his studies.
• The student copes with travel, restaurant, hotel and internship situations in Sweden.
• The student knows key grammatical structures and basic vocabulary.

Content (course unit)

• Communication situations that prepare for working life
• TAMK's general terminology for different educational fields
• Key grammatical structures: verbs, prepositions, nouns and personal and possessive pronouns, numerals, ordinals, passive, det- and man-pronouns, question words, adjectives, adverbs, participles and word order.

Prerequisites (course unit)

Sufficient knowledge of the Finnish language
Swedish language studies in elementary school level.

Assessment criteria, pass/fail (course unit)

Scale: pass / fail.
An approved exam and submission of mandatory assignments to Moodle by the deadline are required for an approved performance.

Location and time

The teaching will take place between 15.01.2024 - 25.02.2024 as online studies in Moodle.
The electronic exam will be available in the EXAM system during weeks 9 and 10 in 2024.
Re-examinations will be held in the EXAM system in March 2024.

Teaching methods

Independent online study, initial test and electronic EXAM exam at TAMK or as an EXAM exam visit.
