Objectives (course unit)

The student gets in-depth knowledge and skills as well as methods to design challenging steel structures. After completing the course, the student can design steel structures using modern methods.

• Thermal movements and forced forces
• Special features related to workplace implementation
• Review of computer-aided CASE examples

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2) (course unit)

The student knows how to identify and define questions related to steel structures that require special examination, solve simple applications that are similar to the tasks discussed.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4) (course unit)

In addition to the previous one, the student is able to choose the most suitable procedure from the different options by applying and comparing them and justify their choice.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5) (course unit)

In addition to the previous one, the student has a comprehensive understanding of the issues of the course and how to solve their problems, as well as the ability to present, analyze and logically justify solution methods.
