Objectives (course unit)

The course prepares students for experimental painting and drawing productions by developing the
artistic content and utilizing a variety of new and traditional techniques.

After completing the course, the student knows how to use professional methods, techniques, and
processes of contemporary painting.

Practical guidance to painting techniques.
Analyzing the new and traditional methods, techniques and processes of contemporary painting.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2) (course unit)

The student understands different new and traditional painting techniques. The student participates in the working with course tasks and feedback.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4) (course unit)

The student outlines different new and traditional painting techniques and handles these well in their own artwork. The student works actively as a member of a group and is able to receive and give feedback.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5) (course unit)

The student is able to analyze different traditional and new techniques of painting and handle these well in their own artwork. The student works highly motivated as a member of a group and is able to receive and give feedback.
