Objectives (course unit)

Students
- can describe the research process
- can write a research framework
- can describe the importance of theory in research
- can plan data collection according to a research frame: draw up an interview frame, an observation frame, and a questionnaire
- can analyse qualitative and quantitative data

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2) (course unit)

- can name the main stages of the research process and the components of the research design
- be able to name and describe different methods of obtaining information, coupled with qualitative and quantitative research
- can describe the main features of qualitative and quantitative analysis

Assessment criteria, good (3-4) (course unit)

- can explain the progress of the research process
- can form a coherent research setting
- can design the data collection according to the research design: make the interview frame, observation frame and questionnaire
- can analyze qualitative and quantitative research material

Assessment criteria, excellent (5) (course unit)

- can apply statistical methods of analysis
- is able to apply all stages of the research process reasonably and consistently to form a coherent research setting

Assessment criteria, pass/fail (course unit)

Abandoned - can only describe parts of the research process and approach - can randomly name data acquisition methods - can describe the material without any analysis methods

Tutkimusprosessi -osuuden omaan aiheeseen asioita soveltava tentti 17.11. Opinnäytetyön suunnittelu -lähikerralla. Arviointi 0-5.

Etä- ja lähiopetus
Lähiopetus. Mahdollisuus osallistua etänä lähikertojen luentoihin.

Tutkimustyön perusteet ja tutkimusmenetelmät 3 op
Etä- ja lähiopetus; mahdollisuus osallistua etänä lähiopetuksen luentoihin
Itsenäinen opiskelu: tutustuminen Tutkimustyön perusteet ja tutkimusmenetelmät -moodlesivun materiaaleihin; pilotoidaan myös uutta 2024 OPSin SOTE-yhteisten opintojen "Tutkimustyön verkko-opintojen alustaa".
Pienryhmätyöskentely seminaariryhmissä eri kertojen teeman puitteissa soveltaen samalla oman opinnäytetyön aiheeseen ja asetelmaan.
