After completing the course, the student
• knows the epidemiology of the most common surgically treatable diseases and cancers.
• knows the genetic background of the most common surgically treatable diseases and cancers and recognizes the impact of genomic information on disease management, as well as knowing about risk factors and their prevention.
• can identify the symptoms of the most common surgically treatable diseases and cancers and knows the key clinical, radiological, and clinical-physiological investigations.
• knows the treatment modalities, follow-up, monitoring, and prognosis of the most common surgical diseases and cancers.
• knows the surgical patient care pathway from referral to postoperative follow-up.
• knows the necessary pre-procedural investigations in selecting the anesthesia mode, their findings, and their effects on treatment planning.
• knows the forms of premedication for anesthesia and their effects, as well as the most common anesthesia agents and forms, and postoperative pain management
