Objectives (course unit)
The student knows what is health, healthcare system and healthcare processes and can understand and describe the general principles of governance, organization and funding of health and social services in different countries.
The student knows definitions, terminology and basic concepts of health information systems.
The student understands the specifics and key standards of health information.
The student knows the contents, key architectures and use of electronic patient record and personal health record. Also understands the most important interoperability issues related to patient records.
The student can describe typical eHealth applications and their benefits
The student knows about health informatics project management, assessment and evaluation.
