Supervised Clinical Training, Simulation 2 (2 cr)

Objectives (course unit)

The student
- is able to act in a team and make decisions related to patient care;
- is able to implement evidence-based practice;
- is able to utilise various solutions in patient care;
- is able to act in emergency situations;
- is able to act as the nurse in charge.

supervised clinical training, Simulation 1 completed
supervised clinical training, Simulation 2 will take place at the end of the studies

Simulations at Tampere Centre for Skills Training and Simulation 29.10. 2021 , 8.11. 22.11.
National test Friday 13 August 21 from 13:00-16:00 in classroom G00-10 at TAMK's main campus Kuntokatu 3.

Assessment methods and criteria

National Nursing test: theory 65% of points (65/100), calculation 100 % correct (5/5).
Simulations: 100% active participation and maintaining patient safety.

Simulation topics:
Patients' with infections, needing respiratory support, disturbances with glycemic control, acute coronary syndrome, intoxication, gastroenterological problems, palliative care, clotting disturbances, resuscitation of adults and children.

Completion alternatives

Simulations in clinical training ( 1 credit = 27 hours).
