Objectives (course unit)
The Student
- is able to observe and assess the child's basic vital signs and general state of health;
- obtains professional skills to meet the child and the family;
- is able to administer safe medication and fluid therapy for the child;
- is able to use evidence-based practice in paediatric care;
- is able to start CPR.

Prerequisites (course unit)
30 ects of initial stage studies must be completed before entering the middle stage studies.
Theory of Paediatric Nursing
Assessment methods and criteria
Active participation in workshop and simulation and 100% attendance. Preparatory tasks must be completed before the workshop. Workshop attendance prior to simulation is mandatory.
