Education and Teaching Competence and Digital Communication (3 cr)

Objectives (course unit)

The student
- understands the philosophical, ethical and pedagogical bases for education and teaching;
- is able to utilise client-oriented education and teaching methods appropriate to the situation;
- is able to use and plan digital teaching methods and materials;
- knows how to evaluate the effectiveness of different methods.

Content (course unit)

- different education and teaching philosophies;
- the education and teaching method process;
- education in different situations with various methods;
- education and communication utilising information and communications technology;
- evaluation of effectiveness in education.

Prerequisites (course unit)

30 ects of initial stage studies must be completed before entering the middle stage studies.

Assessment methods and criteria

Opinnollistamisen aikana opiskelija toteuttaa omassa työpaikassaan työnanatjan kanssa sovitun kehittämistehtävän, joka arvioidaan numeerisesti. Mikäli työyhteisöstä ei ole noussut esiin kehittämishanketta / projektia, johon osaamisen osoittamisen voi toteuttaa, suoritetaan arviointi erillisellä arviointimenetelmällä opinnollistamisjakson jälkeen.

Teaching methods

Tämä opintojakso toteutetaan omassa hoitotyön johdon alaisessa hoitotyössä. Hyväksyminen toteutukselle edellyttää vähintään lähihoitajan työsopimusta sekä hoitotyön työympäristöä, jossa opintojakson tavoitteet voivat toeutua.
