Objectives (course unit)
The students are able to come up and implement a small scale documentary of a person, to develop topics suitable for a documentary and to design expression and implementation methods. The students know the principles of acquiring personal interviews and other material. They know the ethical and artistic demands of a documentary. The students know the distribution channels and customers for documentaries in Finland.
Content (course unit)
Lectures about documentary expression and working methods in television, radio and podcast productions. Developing documentary ideas in groups and scheduling the projects. Small scale audio or video projects.
