Objectives (course unit)

The students can make a program for a programmable logic controller and to control the process by using it. They can also make electrical and pneumatic connections. The students are able to program a robot. Robot programming, relay connections, wiring diagrams. Building and testing a connection, programming programmable logic, controlling a machine or device with controllable logic, pneumatic connections.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2) (course unit)

The student is able to design, connect and program simple machine automation process controls. Able to perform the given tasks with help. Know the basics of security logic and machine safety.

The student is able to design, connect and program typical machine automation process controls. Able to perform well in given tasks. Know the basics of security logic and machine safety well. Can apply their skills in the field of machine automation

The student is able to design, connect and program challenging machine automation process controllers. Able to perform the given tasks excellently. Know the basics of safety logic and machine safety excellently. Is able to apply its expertise in the field of machine automation.
