Objectives (course unit)

Students learn to know basics of renovation and its key procedures. They know history of buildings and structures and can use the information as bases for design. They know the common damage phenomena and dangerous and harmful construction materials in the renovated building stock. Students are introduced to ordinary renovation solutions.

After the course, students can plan small renovations. The focus is on 20th-century buildings.
