Objectives (course unit)

Student is acquainted with the main esthetics and historical periods of Musical Theatre. He/she/ they can recognize main characteristics and repertoire of stylistic eras. Student can applly historical knowledge to other professional substances and practical work as a musical artist.

Content (course unit)

• Main historical periods and esthetics of Musical Theatre from the 19th century.
• Listening and recognising samples of different historical eras of Musical Theatre.
• Literature
