Objectives (course unit)

The students learn foundation and measuring systems and the different parts of a buildings surface and supporting structures so that they can draw the basic structure types and simple joints. The course forms the basis for further study.

Finishing systems
• residential multi-storey buildings
• non-residential buildings
• industrial buildings
Buildings take into account both local construction and prefabricated construction.
Apartment buildings
• Underfloor: ground and ventilated
• types and joints of the outer casing: concrete buildings, large wooden buildings.

The student knows the main structures used in apartment buildings and office and commercial buildings and their characteristics.
The student knows how to prepare standard detailed drawings.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5) (course unit)

The student knows the main structures used in apartment buildings and office and commercial buildings and their characteristics. He knows how to apply what he has learned to new types of objects.
The student can prepare detailed drawings independently and justify the solutions he has made.
The student knows the requirements set by construction methods and knows how to make choices and evaluations regarding them independently.
