Objectives (course unit)

After completing the course, the student
-knows the laws governing the mechanical behavior and state of motion of an object in motion
- is able to find out the quantities related to a body in motion and calculate the loads applied to it
-part applies the basic laws of dynamics to various applications

Content (course unit)

The aim of the course is to become familiar with the basic concepts of dynamics and calculation. The subject areas covered are e.g. geometric theory of motion (kinematics), physical theory of motion (kinetics) and the solution of plane dynamics problems.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2) (course unit)

The student recognizes the mechanical behavior of the moving body, dominated by the most important basic concepts and quantities of dynamics. The student is aware of the laws governing dynamic business space and performs the given calculations, assisted if necessary.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4) (course unit)

The students is familiar with the laws governing dynamic behavior and are able to perform independently the assigned tasks. The student will be able to identify the dynamic part of the machine or the dynamic motion of Newton's mechanics, as well as the dynamic loads and strain on the part.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5) (course unit)

The student is well versed in all aspects of Dynamics and is able to independently apply his / her skills in solving various structural stress situations, determining strengths and strain, as well as calculating basic freedoms for free and forced vibration.
