This course provides an introduction to the basic types of future knowledge and their gathering from the environment.

• understands and is able to describe the various types (categories) of future knowledge.
• understands and is able to describe the principles of the uses and producing of futures intelligence.
• has a preliminary ability to scan one's environment and horizon.

This course is approved when the student has demonstrated an understanding of different categories of future knowledge and the principles of their detection.

During this course, you will study the basic types of futures knowledge.

The course is an independent part of three online futures studies courses. It is recommended that you complete the courses in this order:
1. NN00HD38-3001 Introduction to Futures Studies and Foresight, 1 cr
2. NN00HD39-3001 Types of Futures Knowledge, 1 cr
3. NN00HD40-3001 Futures Studies and Foresight Methods, 1 cr
