Objectives (course unit)

Student
-is, as a member of a team, able to plan, implement and evaluate the most common nuclear medicine procedures related to the holistic care of patients and bone density measurements in accordance with the quality requirements
-can implement appropriate radiation protection for patients, personnel and other people in the nuclear medicine department
-can act appreciatively and respectively towards patients, their relatives and co-workers
-improves his/her oral and written language skills in the field of nuclear medicine and develop his/her data acquisition skills using foreign language sources and media
-is interested in his/her own learning about nuclear medicine procedures
-is able to reflect his/her own learning and has a positive attitude towards feedback and is willing to continuously develop himself/herself

Content (course unit)

-clinical training in nuclear medicine procedures according to the students goals

Prerequisites (course unit)

-clinical training in nuclear medicine procedures requires accepted theoretical studies of the study module in question
-adequate knowledge and skills in computer tomography examinations
-the basic trainings according to the personal curriculum must be done

Assessment criteria, pass/fail (course unit)

Pass:
-acts according to the radiographer's ethical instructions
-shows initiative and is cooperative
-can guide the patient and can do the most general imaging examinations in accordance with the referral independently and other x-ray examinations under guidance
-can guide the patient and can function as a member of the team in situations related to radiation protection (patient, support person, staff, escort and working environment)
-can operate radiological equipment safely and appropriately
-is able to create confidential interaction and care relations with the patients
-works according to radiation safety
-is able to do realistic self-assessment, receives feedback and instructions

Fail:
-does not follow agreed working hours
-withdraws repeatedly from learning situations
-does not get through directed of the most general nuclear medicine procedures
-endangers patient safety repeatedly
-does not follow privacy protection procedures
-does not observe an aseptic way of action
-there are factors which endanger safety in the use of radiological equipment
-there are repeatedly shortcomings in situations which are related to radiation protection
-does not show interest in the studies related to nuclear medicine procedures
-cannot operate professionally in the work community
