• knows the EU guidelines and national legislation of safe medical use of ionizing radiation well as the regulations of Radiation and Nuclear Safety Authority and can explain their main contents
• knows the radiation safety in medical and work-related exposure in general
• knows, how medical use of radiation is applied out of imaging department

Content (course unit)

• types of radiation and the biological effects to human tissues
• European Union guidelines of safe use of ionizing radiation, national legislation and regulations of Radiation and Nuclear Safety Authority
• radiation safety procedures in medical and work-related exposure in general
• radiation safety procedures in use of radiation applied out of imaging department
