Objectives (course unit)

-is able to conduct an independent clinical examination, interview, assessment and treatment of an injured or suddenly ill patient on an advanced level
-is familiar with the safe and appropriate use of various examination and treatment tools, immobilisation and medical devices
-knows the holistic documentation, reporting and communication
-masters the basic skills under supervision to lead the emergency care service and is able to collaborate with different authorities
-follows the ethical guidelines and principles of nursing, acts responsibly as a member of the working group and follows the practical training guidelines
-is able to realistically evaluate his / her own competence and development as an emergency care nurse

Advanced level prehospital emergency care

Prerequisites (course unit)

The basic skills of emergency care must be fully mastered. Participation to theoretical studies of advanced level prehospital emergency care.

Pass
The student
-is able to conduct an independent clinical examination, interview, assessment and treatment of an injured or suddenly ill patient on an advanced level
-knows the safe and appropriate use of various examination and treatment tools, immobilisation and medical devices
-knows the holistic documentation, reporting and communication
-masters the basic skills under supervision to lead the emergency care service and is able to collaborate with different authorities
-follows in his / her own actions the agreed rules of the supervised practical training
-reflects on and assesses his/her own actions realistically and is able to give and receive feedback


Fail
The student
-is not able to manage an independent clinical examination, interview, assessment and treatment of an injured or suddenly ill patient on an advanced level
-does not know the safe and appropriate use of various examination and treatment tools, immobilisation and medical devices
-incompletely manages the documentation, reporting and communication
-does not possess the basic skills under supervision to lead the emergency care services and collaborate with different authorities
-ignores in his / her own actions the agreed rules of the supervised practical training
-unrealistically assesses his/her own learning and is not able to receive feedback
