Objectives (course unit)

- Proves with a development task to be able to utilize evidence-based midwifery.
- Works in a clinical setting-oriented manner.
- Evaluates and utilizes latest research in midwifery.
- Produces a publishable article or product as a development task.
- Writes a report of the product making process.

- Idea paper

- Report (if the product is other than a publishable article)

Prerequisites (course unit)

Bachelor's Thesis completed

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2) (course unit)

- The development task subject follows the principles of evidence-based midwifery in a shallow manner.
- The student has assessed or utilized latest research in the task only locally.
- The task has not been completed in collaboration with the clinical setting.
- The development task is visually weak and unfinished.
- The report does follow given guidelines mostly.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4) (course unit)

- The development task subject follows the principles of evidence-based midwifery in a shallow manner.
- The student has assessed or utilized latest research in the task only locally.
- The task has not been completed in collaboration with the clinical setting.
- The development task is visually weak and unfinished.
- The report does follow given guidelines mostly.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5) (course unit)

- The development task subject follows the principles of evidence-based midwifery broadly.
- The student has assessed or utilized latest research in the task extensively.
- The task has been completed in collaboration with the clinical setting and answers their needs.
- The development task is visually excellent and completed creatively.
- The report is completed according to given guidelines.
