Objectives (course unit)

This course introduces students to digital tools and the communication and writing skills required in both academic and professional contexts. Additionally, it covers the fundamental principles of data protection.

Upon completing this course, students will:
• Be familiar with key text genres relevant to academic study and the workplace, and be able to apply them
• Know how to use information and library services for scholarly research (particularly article databases)
• Effectively utilize common digital tools used in professional settings
• Demonstrate purposeful and goal-oriented communication in workplace contexts
• Critically evaluate information and describe the basic principles of data security and privacy
