Objectives (course unit)

Students are able to adapt their skills in musical theatre to project work. Students have knowledge about innovation know-how, learning skills and work community skills, which they can adapt in a real working environments and -conditions.

Studying module is possible to execute with other organizations or cooperation companies.

Content (course unit)

Study module is still orientative and will excecute mainly in the school´s (internal) productions. Module can include one or several of these genres:
- music theatre
- theatre music
- ensemble work
- vocal group/ a cappella group
- chamber music
- orchestra
- playing in a group/ band
- choir
- lied
- opera
- artistic-productive tasks in a production

- Triple Threat Performer 1

Assessment criteria, pass/fail (course unit)

Students have done defined tasks in the project.

Location and time

Harjoitellaan produktioviikoilla syksyllä ja keväällä. Produktioviikkojen tarkampi ajankohta vahvistetaan syyslukukauden alkupuolella. Toteutuspaikka on produktiokohtainen.
Produktiot vahvistuvat syyslukukauden alkupuolella.

Regular participation. Execute all the given tasks.

Student workload

Musical theatre:
Requires commitment and regular participation, 100%. Plenty of independent and group training. Can contain exeptional schedules.

Content scheduling

Toteutuspaikka on produktiokohtainen. Esitykset vahvistetaan erikseen.

Completion alternatives

AHOT (professional theatre productions). Consult the senior lecturer.

Practical training and working life cooperation

Professional theatres or interdisciplinary professional cooperation organized by an educational institution
