Objectives (course unit)

The student is able to utilize practical training to learn the operating principles and key content of a specific job. The student is able to evaluate what they have learned and set professional goals for themselves.

The student is able to identify the key rules, contract models, responsibilities, insurance coverage, well-being at work, and principles of work endurance in working life. The student has a grasp of the basics of freelance work and is able to plan their career in the long term.

Content (course unit)

The internship is mainly carried out in several shorter periods at different internship locations. The internship sites and job assignments are agreed upon in a career guidance interview together with the student, teacher, and workplace, and the internship is supervised by a designated internship supervisor at the workplace. The internship includes orientation lectures and guidance discussions.

During the internship, TAMK's internship practices are followed with regard to contracts, responsibilities, and insurances.

Assessment criteria, pass/fail (course unit)

Pass:

During the internship, the student demonstrates
*an understanding of the basic operating principles and key content of the internship tasks.
*the ability to assess their learning and set professional goals in their internship report.
*knowledge of the key rules, contract models, responsibilities, insurance coverage, well-being, and resilience principles related to their internship tasks.
*a basic understanding of freelance work and the ability to plan their career long-term.

An approved performance requires active participation in the internship and the preparation of an internship report.

Fail:
The student is unable to demonstrate all the required competencies for an approved performance.
