Objectives (course unit)

Advanced professional training:
Practical training supports the students’ growth as paper engineers. They learn to apply in practice the skills learned in professional studies and to evaluate their own skills. Another aim is to facilitate the students’ final thesis work and employment after graduation.
The aim of the practical training is to offer a structured familiarisation to practical job tasks in the field of chemistry and give the students the ability to apply their skills and knowledges in practice. Another aim is to combine theory with practice and give the students a realistic view on the demands and practices of the field.

Content (course unit)

The more detailed content demands for practical training are defined in the degree programme training instructions.

Assessment methods and criteria

The practical training is passed when the student 1) before the practical training does the assignments and 2) during the practical training returns the learning assignments and 3) after the practical training returns the required documents as well as takes part and presents the practical training work in a seminar.
