Objectives (course unit)

The student
- masters the research process step by step
- masters the basic knowledge of quantitative research methods
- masters the ethical aspects of quantitative research
- masters the reliability aspects of quantitative research
- is able to broadly describe the results of research
- is able to describe the process of an effectiveness study
- is able to evaluate the impact of services based on statistical tests

Preparation of the questionnaire and the use of the e-form editor Quantitative research ethics, validity and reliability
Using of the SPSS statistical program

Assessment criteria, pass/fail (course unit)

Approved
The student knows the basic statistical concepts and scales and is able to produce indicators from the data.
The student is able to carry out statistical tests (SPSS), interpret the results of statistical tests and draw conclusions.


Failed
The student has incomplete knowledge of the key statistical concepts, scales and indicators.
The student is unable to carry out statistical tests, interpret statistical test results and draw conclusions.

Luennot,etätehtävät, palautettavat harjoitukset.
Toteutetaan hybriditoteutuksena, jolloin on mahdollista osallistua etänä tai luokkaopetuksena.

Opintojaksolla käytetään SPSS-ohjelmistoa. Etäosallistuminen edellyttää ohjjelman asentamista omalle koneelle. Tamkin opiskelija voi SPSS-ohjelman asentaa maksutta itselleen Tuni-intran ohjeen mukaan
