Objectives (course unit)

Student:
• knows the basics of the most important forms of production and manufacturing methods.
• Have the capability to understand key manufacturing techniques and terms in them.
• perceive the importance of production automation.
• is familiar with the main quality technologies at a fundamental level.
• is familiar with the most common engineering techniques and is able to perform measurements with basic measuring instruments
• is able to evaluate his / her own written communication skills
• Understand what appropriate communication is
• take into account the requirements of the recipient, the situation and the field
• develop written presentations for the target audience on measurement tasks
• use the language of technical standards and language recommendations in speech and writing communications
• Report engineering measurements in engineering
• Performed workshop measurements
• Draw up a test report in accordance with the task
• Calculate the error estimates for the measurement task
• Conduct a standard report as directed (TAMK Reporting Guidelines)

Content (course unit)

• Production forms and their control, key machining methods, sheet metal work, coating methods, assembly, manufacturing automation,
• Quality techniques, measurement, machine tool basic measurement equipment.
• Engineering Engineering Measurements and Measurement Uncertainty Assessment, Reporting on Performed Measurement Tasks, Basics of Voice Communication
• Teamwork • right language • document communication (TAMK's reporting instructions).

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2) (course unit)

Is able to identify and define basic concepts related to the field. Performs assigned tasks as a wizard. Knows different procedures but may not be able to justify all their choices. Works as a member of the group for joint efforts. Identify your interpersonal skills. Identify important practices for your industry. Take responsibility for its own performance and is able to receive and give feedback.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4) (course unit)

Strengthens the relationship between concepts in this field. Is able to choose the most appropriate procedure for the different options and justify their choice. Is able to cooperate responsibly and is ready to develop their interaction skills. Identify and follow important practices in your field. Takes responsibility and undertakes not only its own activities but also the activities of the group. Is able to give and receive feedback actively and constructively.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5) (course unit)

Understands wide-ranging entities and their relationships. Can find different ways of working and solutions, justify their choices and try new ways of working. Evaluate different solution options and combine different solutions creatively or even innovate new solutions.
Can work in a responsible, flexible and constructive way. Develops both your own and group interaction. Act responsibly and with commitment to the needs and needs of the community and industry. Uses constructive feedback systematically as a tool for self and community growth.
