At the beginning of alternative professional studies, the student must have completed 135 cr of studies. These should include theoretical studies in the area of ​​the student have chosen as their alternative professional studies and studies in anatomy and physiology. The required areas are internal medicine nursing, surgical nursing, mental health and substance abuse nursing, gerontological nursing and nursing at a Health and Social Services Center.
