Objectives (course unit)

The student
- knows the basics of ethical activity related to his / her profession and is able to apply evidence-based information in the care of a long-term and neurologically ill child and family as a member of a multi-professional working group
- is able to support and guide the family individually in parenting, raising children and young people and in healthy lifestyles, and to identify related risk factors on a situation-by-situation basis, taking into account the needs and resources of families
- be able to assess the need for care for a long-term and neurologically ill child and family, and plan and implement treatment applying evidence-based information
- is able to individually and evidence-based guide a long-term and neurologically ill child and family during the treatment process, taking into account the play in the care of children and young people of different ages and the effect of genetic information
- know the different treatment pathways for chronically and neurologically ill children
- is able to apply their knowledge of long-term and neurological diseases in children when performing nursing work
- knows and is able to safely administer medication and fluids to a long-term and neurologically ill child
- know the importance of evidence-based nursing in the care of children and families and in the development of the work community
- is responsible for the theoretical development of his / her own skills in nursing a long-term sick child and family

Content (course unit)

- the care process and pathways for the chronically and neurologically ill child
- research and treatment methods for children with long-term and neurological illness the most common neurological, chronic and mental disorders in children
- the importance of genetic knowledge and disease for the child and the family
- rehabilitation of a long-term and neurologically ill child and adolescent
- supporting the child and the family in long-term and neurological illness and commitment to treatment
- communication methods, different control methods and evaluation of their effectiveness, as well as play in child and adolescent nursing
- multiculturalism in the care of children and young people- medication and fluid therapy for the child-the resuscitation of a child of different ages
- multi-professionalism in childcare
- development of one's professional identity and work community skills

Prerequisites (course unit)

At the beginning of alternative professional studies, the student must have completed 135 cr of studies. These should include nursing for children and young people theoretical studies, studies in anatomy and physiology and minimum six supervised clinical training courses.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2) (course unit)

The student
- knows the basics of ethical activity related to his / her profession and is able to satisfactorily apply evidence-based information in the care of a long-term and neurologically ill child and family as a member of a multi-professional working group
- knows satisfactorily support and guidance family in parenting, child and youth education and healthy lifestyles, and recognizes and knows related risk factors
- is able to satisfactorily assess the need for care for a long-term and neurologically ill child and family, and to plan and implement treatment applying evidence-based information
- is able to guide a long-term and neurologically ill child and family during the treatment process, taking into account satisfactorily the play in the care of children and young people of different ages and the effect of genetic information
- satisfactorily knows the different treatment pathways for children with long-term and neurological illness
- is able to satisfactorily apply his / her knowledge of long-term and neurological diseases in children when performing nursing work
- knows and is able to safely implement medication and fluid therapy for a long-term and neurologically ill child.
- recognizes the importance of evidence-based nursing in nursing children and families and in developing the work community
- is responsible for the theoretical development of his / her own skills in nursing a long-term sick child and family

Assessment criteria, good (3-4) (course unit)

The student
- knows the basics of ethical activities related to his / her profession and is able to apply well evidence-based information in the care of a long-term and neurologically ill child and family as a member of a multi-professional working group
- is able to support and guide the family individually in parenting, raising children and young people and in healthy lifestyles, and to identify related risk factors on a situation-by-situation basis, taking into account the needs and resources of families

The student
- knows the basics of ethical activity related to his / her profession and is able to apply commendably evidence-based information in the care of a long-term and neurologically ill child and family as a member of a multi-professional working group
- is able to support and individually guide the family in parenting, child and youth education and healthy lifestyles, and to identify related risk factors on a situation-by-situation basis, taking into account the needs and resources of families
- is able to commendably assess the need for long-term and neurologically ill child and family care, and to plan and implement treatment using evidence-based information
- is able to guide a long-term and neurologically ill child and family during the treatment process on a situation-specific and individual basis and on the basis of evidence, taking into account the play in the care of children and adolescents of different ages and the impact of genetic information
- is commendably aware of the different treatment pathways for chronically and neurologically ill children
- is able to apply her/his knowledge of long-term and neurological diseases in children with admirable care when performing nursing work
- knows and is able to safely implement medication and fluid therapy for a long-term and neurologically ill child
- know and be able to justify the importance of evidence-based nursing in the care of children and families and the development of the work community
- is responsible for the theoretical development of his / her own skills in nursing a long-term sick child and family

-- Osa 1 21shlas1 lääkehoidon koe 12.1. paperikoe ja uusintakokeet examissa vkot 4 eteenpäin
21shlas2 alkukoke examissa: Suoritus 6.6.2024 mennessä. Hylätyn suorituksen uusimiseksi voit ilmoittautua uusintana samaan kokeeseen, kun ensimmäinen on arvioitu.
- Osa 2 Hoitotyön 1 (Stiinan) koe 13.2 paperisena., uusintakoe 1 examissa 22.2.-7.3.24, uusintakoe 2 examissa 8.3.-25.3.24
- Osa 3 Hoitotyön 2 (Katriinan) koe Examissa 14.2.-2.3. uusintakoe 1. 11.3.-2.4. uusinta 2 8.-26.4
- Osa 4 lääkelasku koe yhdessä teoriakokeen kanssa 14.-1.3., uusintakoe erillisenä examissa 6.6. asti, hylätyn uusintasuorituksen uusimiseksi voit ilmoittautua samaan uusintaan, kun ensimmäinen on arvioitu.
- Osa 5 nestehoidon koe 13.2. papreikoe ja uusintakoe Examissa
- Osa 6 lääketiede ja muut erityistieteet: osa 1 13.2. kokeessa (Stiina). ja osa 2 Examissa suoritettavassa kokeessa (Katariina)

- osa 4 lääkelaskukoe hyväksytty/hylätty
- osa 5 nesteohjelmakoe hyväksytty/hylätty
- osa 6 lääketiede ja muut erityistieteet: koe yhdistetty hoitotyön kokeisiin
- osa 7 pienryhmätyöskentely: seminaariesityksen valmistaminen ja esittäminen, vertaisarviointi, oppimispäiväkirja hyväksytty/hylätty,
- osa 8 moodlekurssit, testit suoritettu hyväksytysti
- osa 9 lääke/nestehoidon pajat: aktiivinen osallistuminen
- osa 10 Pakollinen läsnäolo ja aktiivinen osallistuminen taitopaja- ja elvytysharjoituksiin. Poissaoloista ja sen korvaustehtävästä on sovittava erikseen opettajan kanssa.

Esitietovaatimukset
Suoritettuna hoitotyön alku- ja keskivaiheen opinnot, vähintään 135 op sisältäen Lasten, nuorten hoitotyön –opintokokonaisuuden, ja Lasten ja nuorten hoitotyön orientoivan harjoittelun.

Lasten ja nuorten hoitotyön vaihtoehtoiset ammattiopinnot moodlesta tarkemmat ohjeet tehtävistä ja esitysseminaareista.
