Objectives (course unit)

Student is able to
- identify and compare different types of networks as part of a business
- analyse and analyse goals, actors and roles in networks
- set goals for the network and plan the development of networks
- apply network understanding in international business
- classify platforms and assess their role in the network economy
- assess one's own capabilities to operate in international business networks

Content (course unit)

WHAT do the concepts of networking, network economy, platform and ecosystem mean in business?
WHAT do network objectives, actors and roles mean in different types of networks?
HOW can networks be analysed, described and developed?
WHY are networks and networking important to organisations in international business?
WHY should students be interested in networks and platforms to increase their own competence?

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2) (course unit)

The student is able to identify and define different types of networks and platforms and their characteristics
The students are able to name the objectives, actors and roles of the networks
The student is able to discuss the development of networks
The student is able to describe the special features of the international network business
The student is able to define his/her own and the team's capabilities in international network business

Assessment criteria, good (3-4) (course unit)

The student is able to classify and compare different types of networks and platforms and their characteristics
The students are able to separate the objectives, actors and roles of the networks
The student is able to apply his/her knowledge and make choices in the development of networks
The student is able to analyse and analyse the specificities of the international network business
The student is able to assess his/her own and the team's capabilities in the international network business

Assessment criteria, excellent (5) (course unit)

The student is able to interpret and re-structure different types of networks and platforms and their characteristics
The students are able to customize the objectives of the networks and make suggestions for actors and roles
The student is able to design and build networks
The student is able to take into account and utilise the special features of the international network business in business management
The student is able to develop his/her own and team's capabilities in the international network business.

Assessment criteria, pass/fail (course unit)

The student has not demonstrated his/her competence in the manner indicated by the objectives of the course.
