Objectives (course unit)
The student
- can collect and handle various samples, evaluate their validity and ensure correct preanalytical conditions
- can operate the main information systems in the training laboratory
- knows the principles of the most common analysers
- understands validation rules and applies them to evaluate the reliability of the results
- understands the calibration and quality control procedures and the principles of autovalidation
- can apply theoretical knowledge of haematology in the analysis process
- knows the analysis process of bone marrow aspirates and can handle and make high-quality preparations
- can operate analysers and perform manual analysis when necessary
- is able to report the results of haematological tests in accordance with the guidelines
- can work as a member of a team and follow the rules of the work community
- can take into consideration ergonomics, occupational safety and ethical and economic aspects in his/her professional and social situations
Content (course unit)
Supervised training includes working in various tasks of haematology, according to learning objectives.
The content of the supervised training can vary depending on the training placement.

Before the beginning of the professional training, all earlier studies in Clinical Haematology must be passed.

The study module is carried out as a practical training in the clinical laboratories of hospitals.
