Professional Practical Placement of a Bachelor of Social Services (10 cr)

Objectives (course unit)

Student
- is capable of professional, customer-oriented and ethically sound interaction with clients
- can justify the principles and principles of his / her guidance / education
- is familiar with the service system supporting the well-being and social security of the clients and the related legal basis and information systems and is able to apply them from the point of view of service management
- is able to critically evaluate the structures affecting the customer's life situation and the functioning of the service system
- can evaluate the communality of his / her internship place
- develop their reflective and investigative approach
- can identify and analyze structures and practices that impair customer well-being and inclusion

Assessment criteria, pass/fail (course unit)

Rejected: Student has not achieved a good level in relation to the goals of the internship (grade 3)
* The student does not master the basics of ethical competence.
* The student does not master the basics of customer work knowledge.
* The student does not recognize and can not define phenomena and basic concepts related to the field.
* The student does not assume professional responsibility for his / her activities at the internship.
Passed: The student has achieved the general objectives of the internship at a good level (3)
* During the internship the student acquires the basic skills of ethical competence.
* During the internship the student acquires the basic skills of client work skills.
* The student is able to identify and define phenomena and basic concepts related to the field.
* The student takes responsibility and undertakes not only his / her own activities, but also client work and internship activities.

Location and time

Ajankohta opiskelijan valinnan mukaan, 7 viikkoa. Opiskelija ilmoittaa ajankohdan Moodlen Wikiin.

Teaching methods

Harjoittelu työelämässä, tavoitteena sosiaalialan ammattikorkeakoulutuksen kompetenssit, syventävässä harjoittelussa keskeisenä kriittinen ja osallisuutta edistävä yhteiskuntaosaaminen.

Learning materials

Hyödynnä harjoittelun loppuraportissa harjottelupaikan toiminta ympäristöön liittyvää alan kirjallisuutta ja tutkimusta sekä teoriaopetuksen materiaalia.

Student workload

10op=270h
7 viikkoa harjoittelupaikassa
40h viikossa, josta 35h harjoittelupaikassa =7h/päivä ja 5h viikossa itsenäistä työtä ( suunnittelu, raportin kirjoitus yms.)

Harjoittelun voi suorittaa ulkomailla. Tietoa asiasta kv-koordinaattorilta, joka on Kirsi Toljamo.

Hylätty:Opiskelija ei ole saavuttanut suhteessa harjoittelujakson tavoitteisiin nähden hyvän tasoa (arvosana 3)
* Opiskelija ei osoittaa sosiaalialan soveltavaa ja kehittävää osaamista.
* Opiskelijan teoreettinen osaaminen jää kuvailevalle ja toteavalle tasolle. Opiskelija ei osaa soveltaa ilmiöiden ja käsitteiden välisiä suhteita toiminnassaan harjoittelupaikassa eikä harjoitteluraportissa.
* Opiskelija ei ota ammatillista vastuuta toiminnastaan harjoittelupaikassa.

* Opiskelija osoittaa sosiaalialan soveltavaa ja kehittävää osaamista.
* Opiskelija ymmärtää laaja-alaisia kokonaisuuksia ja niiden välisiä suhteita ja osaa yhdistää nämä ammatilliseen kontekstiin niin käytännössä kuin harjoitteluraportissaankin.
* Opiskelija ottaa vastuuta ja sitoutuu oman toiminnan lisäksi myös asiakastyöhön ja harjoittelupaikan toimintaan.
