- Getting acquainted with prior studies on a chosen client group, approach to work or social phenomenon
- Small-scale study on that subject
- Written report according to the guidelines of Bachelor’s thesis
- Participation in information acquisition teaching by searching for current information sources from library databases (Information Acquisition Skills)
- Students specializing in early childhood education will do a study on family work or early childhood education

- the scope and definition of the research problem are unclear - minor, one-sided use of source material
- the topic is left to a general, superficial level
- descriptive reflection and scant connection with professionalism
- TAMK's instructions have been insufficiently followed in reporting. There is a lack of understanding in the text language mistakes.

- the scope of the research problem and its definition are clear
- relatively diverse use of source material
- rich and structured content
- Reflecting on the key concepts of work in a professional context
- the report is good and written according to TAMK's instructions

- clear and justified definition of the research problem and definition of the objective
- versatile use of source material, dialogue between sources, comprehensive source material
- the content is thorough and of a consistent style

Abandoned:
- the content of the work is too narrow and unstructured
- most of the text is peer-reviewed and reflective
- many shortcomings in the language of the report, in the layout of the report and in the labeling of the sources
