Objectives (course unit)

The Student
- is able to perform health examinations and screening examinations to assess the growth and development of the health of schoolchildren and young people independently and, if necessary, send for further treatment
- identify the needs of supporting the health of schoolchildren and families and is able to apply customer-oriented health-promoting working methods in the school environment
- is able to meet children and young people from different life situations and cultures and their families and deepen their skills in a health-promoting health debate
- understand the role of the nurse as an expert in health promotion in the school or study community and in multidisciplinary networks
- is able to apply their knowledge and skills in the treatment of long-term illnesses of schoolchildren and in situations arising from the different needs of schoolchildren
- is able to vaccinate and give information to infectious diseases and vaccinations to schoolchildren and parents

The Student
- is able to face the schoolchildren and his / her family matter-of-factly, respectfully and professionally
- is able to independently carry out health examinations and screening tests assessing the health, growth and development of school-age children
- is able to interpret the results of health examinations and screening tests, detects possible deviations in the growth and development of a schoolchild
- is able to plan the need for further care of a schoolchild under supervision
- is able to identify the health support needs of the schoolchild and his / her family
- is able to apply customer-oriented health-promoting working methods in the school environment
- understand the role of the nurse as an expert in health promotion in the school or study community and in multidisciplinary networks
- is able to apply his/her knowledge and skills in the treatment of long-term illnesses of schoolchildren and in situations arising from the different needs of schoolchildren
- is able to act responsibly, recognizing the limits of their competence
- student complies with confidentiality and data protection guidelines
- follow the rules of the guided practice game agreed in their own activities
- student views and evaluates his/her own activities realistically
- can give and receive feedback

Pass
The Student/s
- appropriate, respectful, and professional encounter between the schoolchild and his or her family is deficient
- is not able to independently carry out health examinations and screening tests assessing the health, growth and development of the schoolchild or needs strong support from the instructor to perform
- can not interpret the results of health examinations and screening tests and does not detect key deviations in the growth and development of the schoolchild
- does not know how to plan the need for further education of a schoolchild under supervision
- does not recognize the health support needs of the schoolboy and his or her family
- can not apply customer-oriented work methods that promote health in the school environment
- does not recognize the role of the nurse as an expert in health promotion in the school or study community and in multidisciplinary networks
- does not know how to apply his / her knowledge and skills in the treatment of long-term illnesses of schoolchildren and in situations arising from the different needs of schoolchildren
- violates confidentiality or customer privacy
- does not recognize the limits of his/her competence, endangering customer safety
- does not follow the instructions of the supervised training
- evaluates his/her own skills unrealistically
