Objectives (course unit)
The student
- is able to treat patients in diverse acute care situations with his/her special skills, based on emergency, pharmacological and medical skills and understanding of chosen treatment solutions
- masters the most common sudden illnesses, worsening of the condition of illness and injuries of the patient, which require urgent care and transportation to the hospital for continued care or further treatment, as well as knows how to treat them outside the hospital and during transport
- is able to act in the context of forensic medicine in emergency situations
- is able to apply the knowledge of the underlying causes of disease, its frequency, symptoms, studies and their findings in tissues and organs

Prerequisites (course unit)
At the beginning of Advanced Level Emergency Care studies, the student must have completed 135 credits of studies. These should include The Basic Level Emergency Care Skills, as well as studies in Anatomy and Physiology.
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2) (course unit)
The student
- knows the basics of emergency care, pharmacology, medicine and other scientific knowledge and identifies evidence-based knowledge in the care of an injured or suddenly ill patient
- is able to assess the condition and need for care of a patient with injury, to plan his/her care and implement it, but is not always able to give reasons for his / her activities
- knows how to work correctly in forensic medical emergencies
- has basic knowledge of the underlying causes of disease, its frequency, symptoms, studies and their findings in tissues and organs
Assessment criteria, good (3-4) (course unit)
The student
- masters the knowledge of emergency care, pharmacology, medicine and other scientific knowledge and is able to apply evidence-based knowledge in the care of an injured or suddenly ill patient
- is able to assess the condition and need for care of an injured patient, to plan his / her care and carry out the care, and is also able to explain the actions taken in detail
- knows and is able to explain in detail forensic medicine in emergency care situations
- knows about the causes, frequency and symptoms of disease, studies and their findings in tissues and organs.
Assessment criteria, excellent (5) (course unit)
The student
- is able to apply and explain in detail his / her actions from the point of view of pharmacology, medicine and other scientific knowledge in emergency care and is able to apply evidence-based knowledge in the treatment of an injured or suddenly ill patient
- is able to assess the patient's condition and need for treatment, to plan his / her care and implement the care appropriately and reasonably
- is able to describe correctly how to act in emergency care based on forensic medicine
