Objectives (course unit)
The student
- is able to plan, implement and evaluate gynecological nursing and midwifery safely and responsively
- is able to bring up and guide women in the issues and health needs related to sexuality, fertility and reproduction in good interaction and in a patient centered manner
- supports women’s sexual and reproductive health
- knows different gynaecological diseases, procedures and surgery and is able to guide women in these
- knows how to implement medication care in gynecological nursing and midwifery
- evaluates own competence realistically and is able to give and receive feedback
Content (course unit)
4 weeks of supervised clinical training on a gynecological ward or outpatient clinic
Prerequisites (course unit)
The student has participated in Gynecological Midwifery Care -module.

Passed
The student
- is able, under supervision, to plan, implement and evaluate gynecological nursing and midwifery safely and responsibly
- is able to bring up and guide women in good interaction in the issues and health needs related sexuality, fertility and reproduction
- observes and supports, under supervision, the women’s sexual and reproductive health
- has the knowledge of different gynaecological diseases, procedures and surgeries and is able to guide women in these issues
- is managing medication care in gynecological nursing and midwifery correctly and safely
- follows confidentiality and data protection guidelines
- follows the guidelines of the supervised clinical training
- evaluates own competence realistically and is able to give and receive feedback
Failed
The student
- does not recognize the boundaries of own expertise, endangering patient safety
- is not able to bring up and guide women in the issues and health needs related sexuality, fertility and reproduction
- is not able to observe and support, at least under supervision, the women’s sexual and reproductive health
- does not have the knowledge of different gynaecological diseases, procedures or surgeries and is not able to guide women in these issues
- is not able to implement medication care in gynecological nursing or midwifery correctly and safely
- violates confidentiality or data protection guidelines
- fails to follow the guidelines for clinical practice
- evaluates her/his own competence unrealistically and is unable to receive feedback
