Objectives (course unit)

Students will organize and implement a public event that is related to the World Water Day. After completing this project work, students know how to organize and implement a public event of their own field of subject. The project is also a great opportunity for networking.

Content (course unit)

Planning, organizing and implementing an event, evaluation and feedback on the event.

Prerequisites (course unit)

The course is primarily for second year students. No prerequisities.

Course is pass/fail and is assessed based on presence and assignment return

Teaching methods

This course arranges visits to local water- and waste related facilities in Tampere region: water treatment plant, wastewater treatment plant, landfill and waste incinerator. The course consists of visits and accompanying assignments.

Further information

Water Day is celebrated every year on 22 March. Celebration of the World Water Day is a traditional event at TAMK that Environmental Engineering students have organized.

Assessment criteria - pass/fail (Not in use, Look at the Assessment criteria above)

To pass the course, student must attend the facility visits and pass the accompanying assignments.
